Cycling distance: 7 km Difficulty: Very Easy (Mountain bike)

Welcome to Laos, the Land of a Million Elephants, and the UNESCO World Heritage town of Luang Prabang. Upon arrival you will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel.

After check-in we enjoy a half day guide tour on bicycles to experience the rich cultural and historical heritage of this charming town with visits to French Indochinese buildings and ancient Buddhist temples.

Today’s itinerary includes a visit to Wat Sensoukarahm, Wat Mai, Wat Xieng Thong- the most revered temple in Luang Prabang and the former Royal Palace (now the National Museum) where you will explore the history of Laos. Finish with the Traditional Arts & Ethnology Centre, a museum dedicated to exploring the rich diversity of Laos’s ethnic minorities. The entrance includes and Cocktails and snacks at the Patio when you are done with the Center visit.

Returning to the hotel, take a rest and freshen up before being transferred by Tuk-Tuk to the most famous restaurant in town, Khamu Restaurant, for an adventurous Lao Gourmet culinary discovery!

Overnight In Luang Prabang

Cycling distance: 25 km Difficulty: Medium (E-bike)

An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning alms giving ritual to saffron-clad monks. This tradition is unique to Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving this procession.

After breakfast guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel then head out the town to Chateau Orientale Resort to choose your bikes, we have 2 options for you to experience as E-bike and mountain bike.

When you choosing the bike and short briefing by experience local guide, we start driver to a beautiful off-road loop with several rivers crossing and visit a traditional Khmu Village (Ban Hua Tad) and visit of the Tad Kuang Son waterfall. The second loop with several rivers crossing and visit a traditional Khmu Village and you will see non touristic stunning landscape including jungle and limestone cliffs, 2 river crossings by boat, local villages out of the beaten track. On tour we will visit additionally a hidden Jurassic cave, have lunch and end up by the Tad Sae waterfall where you have time to swim. We then returning to the starting point by a 20 min motor boat trip to “Chateau Oriental” Resort and then we back take the van back to hotel.

Overnight In Luang Prabang.

Cycling distance: 39 km Difficulty: Medium (Mountain bike)

After breakfast at the hotel, the tour guide will help you choose a great bike at our bike shop in Luang Prabang before setting off on a scenic, 30-kilometer paved-road ride along the Mekong River to the beautiful Kuang Si waterfall. The ride lasts 2-3 hours, is medium grade with some hills, and we’ll make a stop to explore villages along the way.

Kuang Si Waterfall spans a large area through some of the lushest jungle around Luang Prabang. Easy walking trails wind past numerous pools and cascading waterfalls where you can relax and swim.

Lunch will be at the waterfall. There are small private changing rooms near the waterfall where you can change into your swimming suit. You can also see up close Asiatic bears at the Bear Rescue Centre along the jungle walk to the waterfall.

After plenty of recreation time at the waterfall, hop back onto the bikes for a fun downhill ride to the Mekong River, where you’ll board a long-tail boat for a 1.5-2 hour scenic cruise up the Mekong River back to Luang Prabang. You’ll ride the short distance back to the hotel to wrap up a great day.

After breakfast in the hotel you’ll be free until transfer time to Luang Prabang airport.
